Cairo, 19 January – To promote community cohesion among migrants and the Egyptian communities hosting them, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) partnered with Egyptian Startup Bassita, UNAOC Innovation Award 2nd place winner Safarni, Drosos, and the French Institute in Egypt to launch a Clickfunding Campaign on 19 January, 2018.

Geneva – IOM, the UN Migration Agency, has released a new guide for government actors involved in implementing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as they relate to migration. Migration and the 2030 Agenda: A Guide for Practitioners, published on 09 October, aims to help policymakers integrate migration into local and national development planning.
Cairo, 3 October 2018 - IOM and its partners, the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood (NCCM) and the National Coordinating Committee on Combatting and Preventing Illegal Migration and Trafficking in Persons (NCCPIM & TIP), kicked off a Training of Trainers (ToT) programme with Community Ambassadors in Mansoura and Dakahlia Governorate.
Libya, 28 September 2018 - On Monday 24 September, IOM, the UN Migration Agency organized its first charter to Ethiopia from Libya’s Zintan airport, with a stopover in Egypt for 177 stranded migrants.
Cairo, 20 September 2018 - IOM and the Forensic Medicine Authority (FMA) organized a training from 18 to 20 September for 25 forensic experts from 7 different Egyptian governorates on passport examination procedures in order to support front line border management, law enforcement and prosecutors.
Cairo– To mark the World Day against Trafficking in Persons, the International Organization for Migration organized a community event on Saturday 28th of July in close collaboration with the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood (NCCM) and Tadamon at the Swiss Club in Imbaba.
