Health Surveillance of Travelers at Points of Entry in Response to Emerging Respiratory Viruses, Including COVID-19

Course Overview

This course provides guidance for the public health authorities at points of entry (airports, seaports and ground crossings) to consider while responding to the cross-border spread of emerging respiratory viruses such as COVID-19. It identifies the capacities and mechanisms to improve public health surveillance and to facilitate the detection and management of travelers suspected to have COVID-19 at these points of entry (POE).

The training provides recommendations to support establishing and building of relationships between public health authorities and concerned stakeholders at POE and the National Health Surveillance Authority.
