CFCV Consultant

1. Nature of the consultancy: national consultancy to conduct a detailed profiling of the main
active private sector stakeholders in sectors of intervention in Egypt.
2. Objective: IOM Egypt Country Office is organizing capacity building programmes for selected
partners to promote the protection of workers, including migrant workers, especially in the
recruitment phase and along supply chains.
3. IOM project to which the Consultancy is contributing: the consultancy will contribute to
the successful implementation of ‘Safeguarding the Workers on the Move in the MENA Region’
project that is implemented by IOM. The project aims to contribute to the protection of migrant
workers on the move in the MENA region.
4. Tasks to be performed under this contract:
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Labour Mobility and Human Development (LHD) Unit
and in coordination with the Project Manager, the Consultant will be responsible for carrying the
following tasks:
1) Recommend potential sectors of intervention based on a set of criteria that will be
develop together with IOM and relevant stakeholders;
2) Provide clear analysis of recruitment practices in the identified sectors, including relevant
governmental and non-governmental stakeholders;
3) Develop clear questions for profiling of active private sector stakeholders identified by
IOM in specific sectors and related data collection tools;
4) Provide detailed profiling of active stakeholders to be targeted by IOM’s capacity building
5. Tangible and measurable output of the work assignment:
1) Draft inception report including interview questions and research methodology;
2) Field research;
3) Final report/database, including detailed profiling of active private sector stakeholders.
